SO LOCAL is a family run Gold Coast label started by local artist Clifford "TOAD" Hoad, after a lifetime of surfing the points, skating the streets and watching the Coast grow up around him. Every design starts as one of TOAD's hand drawings, then gets hand screen printed just down the road on the Gold Coast.
The shirts tell the stories locals already know. The drop-ins at Snapper. The carpark at Currumbin Alley. The bloke at the servo who's either giving you the peace sign or the other one. A bit of the old sixties and seventies Coast, before the high rises and the smashed avo, worn by people who remember it and people who wish they did.
